September meet-up – Open Mic Night with Drumming & Planning Future Meetings
6.30pm – 9.30pm at Taffs Well Village Hall
Come along to our monthly meetings with open-minded, friendly people who share information and speak freely in a relaxed and non-judgmental setting! No subject is off topic and everyone is welcome!
We are welcoming Geraint at the September meeting who makes beautiful wands. He will have many wands he has made over the years and he will be chatting about them, including how he makes them, and as the wands are now seeking new homes, they will be able to be purchased. There will then be some time for anyone else who wants to share any research, experiences or information they may have, or bring a topic to the table for open discussion. We will then take some time to plan some future meetings, including the possibility of a chembuster workshop, and we will leave some time at the end of the meeting for some drumming and chanting. Suggested donations of £5 towards room hire and refreshments will be gratefully received!
What you need to bring:
A topic of discussion or small talk or ‘show and tell’ if you wish to participate in the open mic. (as before – there isn’t really a mic. 😀 )
Snacks etc for with your refreshments if you wish
Ideas for future meetings (plus any relevant information we may need for planning)
Drumming and Chanting – Bring your drums and rattles (we will have spare to lend you). Danielle will lead us through some popular healing Buddhist chants such as Green Tara, Om Mani Pedme Hung, Medicine Buddha, and Yoga chants such as the chant of Ganesh and Hare Krishna! If you know any nice ‘spiritual’ or ‘earthy’ songs, please bring them to share too.
